Ok folks, I'm new at this. Just been on holiday in Turkey with my new camera and took a few snaps. I quite like this one. I love the way these pines seem to grow out of the rocks and liked the way this one looked after having boats tied up to it for years. Anyway please feel free to speak your mind.
Welcome to the forum Paul. It does indeed appear to be growing out of the rock and has many 'battle scars'. I like the other trees just slightly out of focus on the right too - not too keen on the left hand side - perhaps slightly more contrast would bring out more detail in the rock. The tree sited centrally cuts the photograph in half too.
I didn't really think that much about the compositon, I'm a bit of a snapper, I just liked the tree and the rock. These are the sort of things I'm hopng to pick up on. Thanks.
