Hi Jon, I like the subject matter in this, but for me the IR takes away some of the punch. The monument in the centre is a real eye catcher that draws to to it then you start to wander around the scene. would love to see a full size mono version

Jon, what have you done with the picture. I'm afraid I'm often too lazy to leave a comment, and hope that others will express my own feelings. However although IR is not my favourite genre I did like this series taken around Washington.

I have to say also that I have been greatly impressed with some of the photography on your Smugmug site, infact I would say I felt quite emotional about some of it. I love some of your B/W stuff. Would love to see some more here

I think Mike and I must agree to disagree on this one - which is perfecly healthy. I love the surrealism of Jon's IR scene.

Hi all, just to qualify what i meant, I dont dislike the image but for me its too different. I took the time to view Jons site before posting and like alot of the other IR images. I can see why it was created in this way, I think the scene is very striking .

I must confes I know next to nothing about IR images. However - I can say I especially like the colours of these ones.

I think I also preferred the "WM from the Tidal Basin' and I also very much like the Jefferson Memorial from the Tidal Basin.

TBH - I'm a fan of Jon's work - particularly fond of his talent for capturing the 'Spirit of America' and its people. Some of the shots are very poweful, also very moving.
