Mike, after reading your initial thread, I've been waiting to see some of the shots you took with the help & guidance of the official photographer
I have to say these are the best photos of horses I have seen of yours without a doubt. You obviously were in the correct position, you have used the decisive moment, and the photos show the action. Not only this but you are close enough to capture the expression on the riders faces a lot of the time. It seems you have for the most part used the correct shutter speed aperture combination and its all led to a cracking set of images.
I think you should have no fears about emailing the OP some of these shots

Those were the best of the bunch out of about 160, and those are some of the last ones I took, the light was kinder then. On a lot of them I quite happily conceeded position to the OP as he was there to earn a living. I have visited his web site since returning home and do feel that having veiwed his previous shows photos, his equestrian shots were of a high quality. I will likely email him a couple of those posted and thank him again for his advice and encouragement and let him see the results.
I do think a couple of them would stand up with his, so its try for more of the same
Well I'd say thats not such a bad ration Mike, esp as its you first real go at such stuff. Position of course can be key with such things. These shots prove it IMO.
