Re: Heron in flight
Hi Will,
You say you were failed by RAF for being colour blind! To what colours...red & green or yellow & orange. You would've been great at detecting camouflage for the RAF!!
If you go online to www.toledo-bend.com/colorblind/Ishihara.html there is the most common test for colourblindness! Also see Colourblind Homepage on www.colourvisiontesting.com My father & most of my male cousins & some nephews are all colourblind as it is genetically carried by the female & passed on to her male progeny! My dad only saw in shades of greys & dull brown or depth of saturation. The positioning of traffic lights was worked out by how bright it looked when 'on' in relation to where other 2 lights are! So yes, you certainly may see things differently to 80 % of the population as 12 to 20% of males are colourblind!!
