Hi Yoshi, what a glorious scene this would be with some sunshine coming through the cherry blossom. It would surely lift the whole photos. As it is the picture is a little flat, though obviously interesting nevertheless.

I think I would have positioned the camera rather differently though. The larger tree in the foreground, takes too much of the viewers attention. I think I would have placed it more to the left so it framed the photo with the tree on the right. This would have placed the bridge in a more central position. As things are I feel the area to the left of the larger tree is totally wasted and adds nothing to the scene.

As for the figure you say looks to be carrying a digicam, this is not clear to us from this picture, however being Japanese we can well believe it

Hi a lovely image , shame about the dullness, this however may be able to be lifted in PS or PSP or another imaging program, I personaly feel that the image is well ballanced and pleasing to the eye.

It's one of those that you can almost smell the blossom as you view. Just before the bridge there is a very nice set of steps just barely visible. Sometimes a little adjustment in curves in PPS can give a scene a little boost to compensate a little for the lack of sunshine. Very lovely scene. You got yourself in to a nice position for this.

Beautiful colours, although on my monitor (which I wouldn't put much faith in!!) some of them are a little hazy.

A tranquil scene, really like it.

Thanks a lot for your comments, Stephen, Tinka, Tom and Caz.

            1) the colour tones - not ideal for cherry blosssoms
            2) the tree on the left hand side - originally i wanted to mimimize the possible blowing out of the sky by the twigs/leaves of the tree BUT it devided the frame into two
            3) my long term concern - whether to include the sky or not - i have tendency to include it in order to get more depth feeling on the 2D frame but always have a risk of blowing out - i hate it but somehow I can not change myself.

            will practice more

it was a nice walk for me too - I just regret it was not photographically but in terms of physical excersises.

            thanks again. yoshi
