I have cloned out fence & applied blur, saturation & a little dodge & burn. Prefer the natural version as opposed to background board or material. Thanks to Audrey's suggestion.

Re: Natural with Fence cloned out
That's brill - saw the original photo, afraid I didn't comment as it had all been said - i.e. I agreed that the fence was distracting.
This is much better. A vibrant shot, with beautiful colours. Like you, I prefer the natural version (have just had a quick look at the 3 other shots taken with card).

Re: Natural with Fence cloned out
Thanks for your comment! I sat down this evening & printed the natural version for the 1st time & was thrilled with it! I then went & changed the Black & white points to give it more definition & reprinted! Very happy with the outcome, so now have it on screensaver too!Originally posted by Caz View PostThat's brill - saw the original photo, afraid I didn't comment as it had all been said - i.e. I agreed that the fence was distracting.

Re: Natural with Fence cloned out
Hi Jocelyn,
Wonderful colours and you've done a great job of removing the fence. Personally think I would have tried to frame the image with the whole leaf rather than cutting off the point at the bottom.

I saw both photos with the fence and without.
I do like better with the fence being cloned out, though the upper left leave looks partially cut now as the fence wire at that point was in front of the leave blocking its view.

Re: Natural with Fence cloned out
Yes its a pity the point of leaf was cut off, but I guess I was concentrating on other factors of composition & didn't notice on lcd! I mainly was interested in the colours.Originally posted by vlarcombe View PostHi Jocelyn,

Hi Jocelyn,
I think it still works and there are plenty of people who would have framed it like that. Without the tip the attention is perhaps focused more strongly on the colours.
