<sigh> I dunno, 62 looks and no one wanted to comment?
haha! I guess I scared you all with this one!
Naaaaah.
I always find the flies just plain ugly - but I really like the shot of the spider.
I like the background and colours, the details and hairs on the leaf and the angle of the shot. Most of all - I love the expression of the spider's face ..... LOL

Yeah...like the expression too...almost as if saying...yikes...eeek! Caught in the act again, zoomin' lot you!
My honest reaction was:
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!SPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDERRRRRRR!
But seriously Those are awesome shots! I cannot stand spiders but loved that picture!
Well, you caught my attention with the spider.... what an expression ... it's hard looking at a photograph like that without putting human characteristics onto it .. I can well imagine what it was thinking..... "What you doing down here?" Joking apart it's a cracking shot .. don't think I'd want to get that close.
I don't know how many threads I missed while I was away, didn't have time yet to dig to the latest. I just saw your "Horror" thing
I like them both.
I tried to read the EXIF info, but its not there.
I would prefer a slight different DOF if possible, though I don't know under what kind of circumstances were taken.
Even though the spider has a very shallow depth of field you've got the face in focus. Scary.
I don't think the picture of the fly works quite as well, I think a tighter crop to cut down on the light area (top left) and amount of green space (right side) would help.
