I love the first one - it looks like a fluffy ballroom dancer's frock. I always like backlit shots of flowers.
I have just spotted that you are in Oz so this this is obviously an Australian wildflower that we would perhaps no be familiar with in UK.? (Do you know what it is, as a matter of interest?) I am not to sure about number two - I am afraid it does not do alot for me personally.

Thanks guys. The flower's common name is Twining Fringed Lily, Dennis, and they are one of my favourites.
I liked the pattern and texture on the cone and the sun illuminated it beautifully, but it's the sort of abstract subject that I see and think would make a great photo but I'm not really good at
