Another flora shot which was again taken in Attenborough Nature Reserve. I love the depth of field in this shot, however I hope to go back and retake the shot using a white sheet of paper in the background to cut out any distractions.

A lovely image, captures the feel and beauty of spring, Yes the depth of field looks good, IMHO to use a white background would spoil the mood and feel of the shot, there are no distractions and the hint of the bacground shrubs/trees etc: enhances the "natural" effect to loose this would make it a vry nice "Record" shot of some blossom.
Matt being a white flower, wouldn't it get lost if you put a white piece of card/paper behind as background? I would've thought a dark green or very dark blue or gunmetal grey background would make the flowers stand out more! Of course personal choice differs from person to person!
