  • Baloon over the Nevada desert

This was taken very early in the morning just after sunrise, viewing east on a ridge that overlooks Las Vegas (out of frame to the left).

I'll confess that this has been tweaked quite a bit to get the golden effect.

I know I should provide robust critique, but I honestly love it. The colours and composition are great. This would be a fantastic as a huge print.

I like it a lot, but, for me just a little to much distance between the horizon and the balloon, That said i like the tones.

That is one super photograph. I would be very happy to have that on my wall.

That is a nice photo Ian.
The colors even with your post processing attempt are really nice too.
My only comment would be if the slight visible noise (chroma mostly) on the mountain/hills could be taken off.

I think it goes without saying that it would have been better if the balloon had been nearer - but nevertheless this is a very pleasing image. Beautiful tones and a lovely feeling of drifting 'up, up and away in that beautiful balloon'.

It seems a tad noisy, or is it artifacts I can see in the lower half of the picci, down in the darker tones only. Possibly due to compression or maybe due to the pp on a lower layer?
