  • Howdy pardner

It's a quiet day on the forum... so here's one for you to evaluate. Hand held, 400mm (equivalent), f/4.5 at 1/320th, ISO 200 and taken in early morning sunshine. On my uncalibrated laptop the image is much brighter than on my calibrated (but overdue for re-calibration) CRT desktop.

I exported the image from the RAW original on my laptop, but didn't make any changes to the exposure or colour balance and it's the full frame too.

    Critique welcome!

Really nice image Ian, the colours look a little muted but the exposure looks spot on considering lighting.

Now how about cloning out those modern day 'poppers' on the jacket, and converting to sepia for a real western feel? hehe!

Yes, this was taken very early in the morning - the sun had only just risen above the horizon.

Good suggestions, Ben - I'll do some experimenting
