Hey everybody. I just entered a some new contest and submitted my work. I'm not on my computer right now so I can't get the picture posted, but you can check it out on:

Hi Simon, it has the makings of a good picture but it's not easy to appreciate it on the site you linked you as they haven't reproduced any of the entries very well. I look forward to seeing it here and re-sized for the web properly

Simon, that is much better. This looks very much like the area round Times Square, certainly on Broadway. I can remember it distinctly from when I visited in 2004. Its one of those places you don't easily forget. We even went to see a show when we were there

If I'm honest though I was a little disappointed with your image as though the advertising hoardings and skyscrapers are typically New York, it does not really portray the hustle and bustle of this area, the lights, traffic and people. There isn't something that makes it recognisably New York apart from the signs either, unless you knew that is. What do you think?

I agree with you completely. This was just the best picture I had that clearly shows that it is New York. I didn't have much time to get out and take some pictures because I was just passing through it because I was getting my sister from the airport and she never saw New York so I decided to go through the center city. Thank you for your comments. Much appreciated.
