    Here's another shot with the Fuji S5 and Nikkor 80-400mm VR.
    I was able to get close to this one, the branches weren't optional.

    Haha, if only they were bill . Super detail in the feathers on this one, and very natural looking colours too. Looks as though you may have used a bit of fill in flash on this one, if so its certainly helped lift if from the background. This bird looks as though he was having a good old chirp, suppose it must be the mating season

        Good picture Bill. I see many wild life images in our club, particularly birds. However, I do not see many low angle shots - that is what makes this one different. The colouring is good together with the detail in the feathers and the catchlight in the eye (which has already been mentioned).

        Nice to see you posting again Bill.
