  • Models

Well this was a first for me. I went to the camera club last night of which I have only been a member for the few months and we had two models in. I have not done this type of thing before, but it was a lot of fun. The only thing was we were sort of left to get on with it and did not have much of a lesson. Having said that the guy who had all the flash gear was helpful. The backgrounds of Rachel were not good so I had to change that and I know one of them is not spot on but I do really like the one of Alex.

    Re: Models

    Hi Peter,
Its a shame that you could not make the most of the session due to lack of instruction and help, a lovely young lady and the session could have been a lot more fruitful. Never mind the results are not at all a right off, pretty good for a first attempt. Now as for the background replacement, a better job could have been done there to eliminate the halo effect around the model, so a bit more practice needed there, perhaps some of our more experienced members could explain their methods, also there are some good free p/shop PSP lessons available on the net in video and PDF form, just google for them or go to the adobe site.

      Hi Tinka

Its not really my type of thing and this was the first time I have used these type of flash units. I must admit that bit was good and I may look at trying to give the flash setup another go.The only thing I do not find it that easy as the wife and kids usually do I runner if I say anything along those lines . I had to do the cut outs as the shadows behind her were awful, maybe if we had been given a bit more help with that it would not have been so bad. I am awaiting a video from someone that I hope will help me with the cutouts. As for the models they were both great giving up their time for us all.
