  • Landscape or Seascape?

Don't get much chance for taking landscapes but just spent some time going through last years hol pics and have put some up in my gallery.
This is one of them and comments would be appreciated.

    Hi Pops!

I think its a lovely shot. Nice composition, and the inclusion of that nice stone wall on the right is a bonus that draws the eye down to the water.

I feel the picture could offer more though, especially in the sky. I reckon some more blues could be bought out emphasising the clouds.

      Hi Pops,
A lovely photograph, levels and or curves adjustment needed in my opinion to give it some oomph. Land/seascape? does it really matter? I think it has more land than sea so perhaps a seaside Landscape?

Very nice indeed Pops. The foreground is grand but a little levels or curves adjustment to the rest woud make it pop a little more.
Perhaps this is me but I feel the whole frame is tilting downwards to the right.
        Anyone else feel this?

Thanks for all of your comments. Gives me something to play with on a wet afternoon.
Tom...you have made me stare and stare at it but I can't really make my mind up about a tilt. With the hills naturally sloping and the water line also having a natural curve there isn't anything definate to work the leveller with.
If anyone can prove or disprove the existance of a tilt I would be interested in hearing about it.

I used the post in the foreground as a reference. This is the corrected result.

That was clever thinking lumix. I can see now that you have straightened up the post. here was I searching for an horizontal guide.
Think I might pop back this year just to make sure that post is actually in straight

This is a very pleasant scene with an interesting abstract quality; I really like it. If anything, I think the sea, the scenery in the background and the sky need a contrast boost.

I'd feel happy putting that in either of my galleries , but because there is'nt any interest on the water i'd proberbly stick it in landscape .
I like the misty feel any more contrast and you'd lose the atmosphere i feel .
