  • Sand Patterns

    Hi,

We were at a weekend getaway with our Photo Club on the West Coast of NZ. The motor camp was adjacent to a river estuary. A great sunset was on its way so we grabbed cameras and took advantage of it. It is easy to be overcome by the sky and landscape. At some stage I looked down and saw the photographed pattern in the sand and took it. This photo was taken on a 5mp Panasonic.

I like the light in this shot, a small tweek ti increase contrast is needed in my opinion, would make a great texture background.

I viewed this image last night but did not have time to comment. Strange how different it looks in two different lighting situations. My first impression was Wow this is great. Images don't change only the light we view them in. In daylight it dose look less striking. Having seen this in artificial light I would suggest others do the same. This is another very nice image and I would not suggest any alterations, you can't improve what is perfect.

Looks like a nice blending of silver and gold metalics

Great photo Dianne. Love the textural quality! It would be great knowing how you do your framing or borders, as the presentation of your photographs look so professional! I would so love to improve the presentation of my gallery from the mundane to the not so ordinary! Wouldn't it be wonderful if there was a Forum on HOW TO DO such & such, for the less expertised people to learn from & greatly appreciate! There used to be a magazine...Photo Effects..I think it was, that was great as it gave step by step instructions on how to do creative stuff etc...but the mag folded & is no more! It came under the DCMagUK umbrella!
