I can see the images OK.

Is the sky added or brought out from the highlights?

I like the new sky. A big improvement from my point of view. However, I would try cropping some of the sky and a little off the grass on the right. Try desaturating the green just a touch. Then compare the two. No doubt you will stick with your original.
