Re: I need a miracle please

    Hi George.

I'm afraid I don't know his name although it was probably the same guy that sold me my Canon 350D a couple of years back! I live in in Colchester so it is my local Jessops but I'm afraid that, like a lot of people, I buy most of my gear over the internet nowadays. However, for big purchases like cameras I prefer to deal with people face-to-face so I can handle the goods before I decide what to buy, get some friendly help and advice and have someone to go back to if things go wrong.

As to the creature photographed by fluffy penguin, I've no idea what it is nor do I remember seeing it there so I'll look for it tomorrow if I go. Another thing you can do is email the picture to the zoo and ask. I did that once and got a fairly quick response.

Here's a picture of the white tiger taken back in 2005. Not a particularly good one, taken through glass and he was asleep! My son tells me that they once introduced a mate for him but unfortunately he killed her!

Aaa..that's the one I missed to see when I visited the zoo.
Indeed the color is unusual, but different than the usual and I like it.
Obviously this guy is a "Lonewolf" and doesn't like mates.

As far as the camera buys, I prefer generally to avoid web buying myself too, if it can be done face to face.

but I do think he is cute
My guess is that it is a tamarin although there are several different types and I have no idea which one he/she is.

Thank you for your update there Stuart, my photo's of the white tiger was also of him asleep. But the size of his head and paws were enormous

Thank you to everyone for having a go at my photo I have got my hands on a laptop with no decent photos on so he was done just in time.

I love that photo, the little chap reminds me of the stereotypical piano player in a western style film, you know the stranger walks into a bar, the piano player stops playing leaving his hands on the keys, but turns to look.

Anyone else see that, or is it just me again?
