    More than a dozen years ago I visited St. Moritz and did a day trip to Diavolezza. It was an experience I'll never forget. You're essentially cross country skiing in downhill gear and the trail gets steadily narrower and higher. At the spot where I took this shot, the drop off to the right is about 300 feet. The trail narrowed to about 18 inches and sloped downward. I made sure I always had at least one pole firmly planted. I just ran across this shot in my archives and thought I'd share it. It really doesn't convey how intimidating the trail is. I'm not sure what I could have done differently to provide a different perspective.

    Kind of sums up the quote that's always in my Signature.....

    Just the thought of being on that ledge gives me the shivers.

      I think this Google Earth summer shot replicates the route we took. At the train station at the end we sat down at an outdoor cafe with Bruce Willis.
