  • Wedding photograpy...

.....I couldn't do it for a living, too much like hard work!

These two shots are from a family wedding - I come from a big family and weddings are a regular occurrence at the moment. I normally just shoot candids but while the couple were posing for "the pro" I took a few from the sidelines. People like me must really annoy the pros - at one wedding one said "hang on, let's wait for the Daily Sport to get his shot"

The shot of the bride is a "real" candid, she was standing outside the church after the wedding waiting for her horse & carriage! I'm quite pleased with this one for the technical POV because it is just 40% of the original image, cropped from various heads arms & cameras (see full frame pic). However the light was a bit harsh - even with a touch of fill-in flash.

I'm wondering if both images are a tad over-saturated? I had to fiddle about in PhotoShop a fair bit to get the dress right - all that white on a bright sunny day!

I like them both, particularly the one of the bride - it cropped up really well. I don't think they're oversaturated, I like the rich colours.
