  • The curious case of Phineas Gage

    In 1848, Phineas Gage was a supervisor on a railroad construction project in Cavendish, Vermont when an explosive went off prematurely and sent a long metal rod through his cheekbone and out the top of his skull. Amazingly he lived for several more years but his personality changed markedly. A few day ago we took a walking tour of where it happened.
