Nice one Ian. Very impressive!

Sorry Ian, I hadn't seen you were asking for a critique.
I like the image, but I am not really sure about the green/yellow line running through the bluebells as the green makes them darker. As I said earlier, without critiquing, I think the image is quite impressive. I might lighten it a bit.

Re: Bluebells against a rapeseed field
I think that green, yellow and blue makes a great combination. The bluebells seem a little dark but I guess that was your intention. It's refreshingly different from the normal bluebell shots.

Re: Bluebells against a rapeseed field
The bluebells are in shade and the exposure is for the sun-lit yellow of the rapeseed flowers in the background. Without bracketing and trickery there is now way to get the bluebells looking normal and I don't think it would look right anyway.

Re: Bluebells against a rapeseed field
I think this the main problem people are having with this picture (similar comments on Four Thirds User where I posted it too).
You need to consider that the picture is almost a silhouette. The exposure is for the brightly lit field of yellow rapeseed flowers. The bluebell flowers are in the shade of a small wood next to the field, so they are underexposed relative to the field.
This picture is not about reality - it is an abstract picture.
