The first one is a very pleasing to the eye scene. Lots of colour and lots to see.
Personally I would have turned to the right a bit more and placed the lodge nearer to the left of the pic thus removing that small section of another lodge. Having said that I don't really know what is to the right of the scene, it could well be an impractical suggestion.

Hi Matt,
I love the tranquility of the lake/river scene, very pleasent and relaxing, as Pops said,the lodge could be nearer the bottom left corner, this can be remedied by a fairly minor crop of the current image, loseing the part lodge. the second image is fine but that type of image is so common now it would have to be something quite different and impactful to stand out, nicely taken though.

I've cropped the image which appears on my deviantART page, and sooner or later I shall crop the one here too Thanks for the advice.
