  • St. Brelade's Sunset

Dragged this file from my archives, it is one that I have had as an A3 print on my sitting room wall for 6 years and still love it, so I thought it would be good to get other's opinion on it. Taken from my hotel balcony in 2005 of the sunset over St. Brelades's Bay, Jersey with a Leica Digilux 2.

On re-examining I thought the white buildings on the headland to be a distraction so I removed them with Snapheal (an amazingly easy to use, inexpensive piece of software for Mac) which I think improves the overall effect:

    What do folks think?

    Hi

I think it's a great photo. The colours are impactful and the horse riders make the picture. I put my finger over the strip of sand at the bottom of the picture and I think it helps draw you to the colours if that bit was cropped.

    Best regards

Before reading Josh's comment, I had scrolled down to crop about 3/4" from the bottom of the picture and I also find that it draws the eye to the colours. Great picture.
