Nice details in the shaded areas and nice mono conversion. The highlights are completely gone though. It doesn't matter so much in a picture like this but it might be fun to try to retail some highlight detail. I wonder if this could have withstood a couple of stops under-exposure to preserve some highlight detail and then to bring up the shadows?

This is very helpful as I'm new at this sort of stuff. For reference, here's the original. I used TinyPic.com to host and resize it. I recently switched from Photoshop Elements 4 to Elements 9. In some respects I prefer the earlier version.
If you're not living on the edge you're taking up too much room.

I stand corrected. The image above was enhanced with Canon's Digital Photo Professional. Here's the original. The large flat screen in front of the statue is a Giant TV Screen.
