    Dunstanburgh Castle:A
A long walk - but very worth it. Lovely views.

2 stranded boats - on the walk to Lindisfarne Caste, Holy Island

    Tide's out!
More stranded boats near Lindisfarne Castle.

    Thoughts on my B&W conversions?

All very nice but Dunstanburgh Castle is a bleak and beautiful image. The clouds and sheep really balace the scene.

The first is very striking but I sense it is a touch over-sharpened and the sheeps' coats are blown, but it's got all the ingredients.

A couple of the others are leaning slightly but they are nicely done and more tonal.

I feel the last one could stand to have a foreground crop.
The 3rd (Tides out) does have a distinct lean to it.

Many thanks for taking the time to feedback.

Points all taken onboard. I'll wait a day or 2, see what other feedback I get & have another go at some of the images.

              Cheers

I'm afraid I thought the first a bit overprocessed. Like the second one though.

Not much to add but the horizons need straightening. Schoolboy error?!?!?!

A nice set of pix - #1 shines for me.

#1 for me too but I'm not a lover of B&W, the only sort I really like are those with a "heritage" look.

Sorry Martin I just re-read what I wrote last night and it looks a bit bad, r.e "Schoolboy error?!?!?!" It was meant in jest and I hope no offence taken

No worries! No offence taken - I realized. Anyway, you're right, I've checked and #3 is quite a bit out (oops!). The other 3 are fine. I've been reworking some of the photos. I agree about the overworking/sharpening of #1, blown sheep hilights & other feedback, so a bit of dodging & burning etc is in order. I'll repost when done.

                              Thanks all for the feedback!

Anyone checked out my web site? www.everythingd7000.co.uk Any feedback on that?
