Simple as that. I took this photo along with some others of a group of university engineer students raising money to build schools in China. I posted it though I didn't think it was that special but one person said it was fabulous. And my reactioin was wha!? Sooo I thought I'd put it here and see what you folks might think makes or breaks this photo. If it even makes anything at all. :P
IMO the composition is all wrong. The line of coins is the prime subject but I can't make out a single one of them. All that space and the traffic on the left is dominating he image.
Maybe if you had stood astride the tape and crouched down it would have resulted in a more positive shot featuring the coins.

No, no. No need to apologize. That's why I put it here. I wanted to know if the comment I got was just one persons preference or if I was really missing something she was seeing. :P
I can say I wish the coinds could have been more in focus. This was with my old camera and it had very limited control of apature. And I was still struggling to learn how to use the little control it had. I mostly stuck to shutter speed on that camera. Thank you for the comments though.
