  • Looking........

Went out for a walk with the wolves today. Treated a couple of freinds to a wolf walk for Christmas, of course, had to take the camera!

Well he's a wonderful looking animal, and unusual to get an expanse of water behind him. Out of interest, where was this taken (roughly)?

        Hi Words,
This was taken in the woods at a place called Ufton Nervet in Berkshire

The wolves are from the UK wolf sanctuary.

Great shot coupekid. You can't help but to be drawn to the wolf's eye and held captive by its expression - I think the composition is bang on

Great shot of a beautiful animal. You've really nailed the wolf's gaze and inherent "wildness" here. In terms of improvement, I can only say that some shots of this guy interacting with others or it's environment would really be something, but that doesn't detract from this one at all.

Beautiful animal - looks healthy too. Nice crisp shot.

We have wolves at our local zoo (Colchester) but you have the choice of photographing though (usually dirty) glass or a chain-link fence - neither of which are much cop obviously.

I'm not 100% comfortable with Zoos, or animals in captivity in general, but I do visit Colchester Zoo quite regularly, in fact 8 of the family have annual "gold cards" and we often visit en masse. Can't see myself ever being able to afford to travel the world and see them all in the wild and I reconcile my views with the knowledge that the Zoo is very active in several European endangered species breeding programmes.

Another beautiful wolf - I do so enjoy yer wolf shots.

I reckon you've done a superb job in capturing all those lovely colours, tones and textures in his fabulous fur.

                  Nice one, Ben.

                        Cheers Tim,

This was (as you can guess) one of many. The wolves had leads on, so its going to take some time to clone them out. (this guy had a lead on as well, which had to be cloned out) dont worry though, there will be one or two more to come

Well, if you are interested Stuart, you may want to consider a visit to the wolf trust.
