Er............

Firstly, I think the idea of framing the face with the looped hand is brilliant. I also think the contrasty, single-tone treatment suits the grizzly context of the shot. It's great that we can see the lines and detail in the fingers too, despite the fact that they're not in focus.

My only technical observation in terms of the shot is that the face isn't as sharp as it might have been. That said, it still works and this detail doesn't alter the impact of the overall image.

First thing that strikes me is that this is a Photoshop distorted image. Probably why there are soft spots in the face. Effective, even scary if it's real.

Heres another shot of the same guy it just a small head held in my hands no PS done apart from the toning. It is the head off Gollum from Lord of the rings The little statue was with one of the LOTR DVD box sets i dropped it awhile ago and the head fell off. have beeen meaning to glue it back on but never got round to it. I may do some more shots with it before i glue it back on.
