  • The Green! Door

I was just out wandering around today, and came upon this beautiful door. It has every thing going for it, color , reflections, the whole 9 yards.

Try as I might I just could not get it to look straight, must have been the angle I was standing at. In the road dodging dump trucks, city buses, u-hauls, and Police cars, which were waving me out of the road. For the life of me, I just don't know why.

This is a strange image, as I said before I just can't seem to get it straight. This is a roation of .25 deg. clockwise. If I just go back to the origional 0 deg. it will look leaned over the other direction.

PS. I guess that's just the way green doors are.

This is a close as I could get it with a tad of rotating, barrel distortion and perspective correction in CS2. I spent about 5 minutes on it so I may have got a better result if I'd spent longer. It still looks a bit out of shape but the guide lines in CS2 show it to be pretty much square.

My dad (from a family of builders) always taught me to never assume any part of a building was square. Try hanging wallpaper from the corner of a room on the assumption it's square and you'll see what I mean!

        Nice shade of green

After looking at it again I had to go back into CS2 and check with the guides one more time . Not perfect but pretty close?

Yep, that looks straighter. I think the whole problem came from trying to level it, with the LCD grid lines. All of the buildings on this side of town have a slight crook to them, I would have done better to have eye-balled it.

Well actually the road goes uphill, while the buildings are going down.

                    Hi
After takeing my medicine as prescribed by Dr Bells, I can't see a problem with the building at all.
