  • Fuji X10 Sunset

One from a few weeks ago, this was more of testing the camera rather than trying to create a work of art, but I quite like it so I thought Ide share.

    Hi Ash -

I used to enjoy using Fuji gear until I purchased a S9500, it needed lots of work to get good results. I gained a cyber friend in NZ who gave me many tips to improve the images.

The Fuji X10 seems to have caught on and I hope you are pleased with yours - the results from your pic suggest you must be.

Good colours and angles coupled with the light streaks make this a super pic.

    Regards. Barr1e

Yes Im fairly pleased with it, love the manual zoom on the lens as I hate the power zoom's on compacts, grip's not that good, its quite uncomfortable to hold and the optical finder is a bit of a joke really, even if you have not got the lens hood adapter on like I have it still blocks some of the view, but its better than none as it saves battery life by not having the screen on, a quirky retro compact which Im sure I will get used to.

The colours looka bit strange, maybe unnatural is a better word, but I always like long exposure shots like these and it's nice that there is some brightness to the late evening sky. The light trails are a bit over exposed for my preference but balancing the lights and the sky would be very tricky without resorting to multiple exposures.
