Re: Yesteryear
Good shot Ash. I'm never too sure about the Yesteryear preset - having just scanned in my late mother's photos for the family, I've had to deal with just too many naturally orange shots to want to reproduce it yet..carolannphotos.smugmug.com / webleedmusicmedia.com

Re: Yesteryear
A nice pic and it is very well composed ash.
Not sure about the yesteryear look, it's one of the LR presets that I do not like, I much prefer the toy camera preset in Silkypix Pro for that type of look.

Re: Yesteryear
I love this picci. I'm not completely sure about the yesteryear effect but it's such a lovely picture I don't especially notice the effect anyway. Emily looks like her usual happy, smiling self and Thomas looks so grown up now! Time flies eh!
I have loads of similar prints. Old ones that have gone that way naturally.

Re: Yesteryear
I think the thing with presets is that its not set in stone, just because you pick one does not mean you have to keep it just so. Rolling your mouse pointer over a preset in lr3 gives you an idea of how a pic will look in a window, whatever you apply play around with it, I just use the preset as a baseline, I no pretty much how I want the pic to look most of the time, by skimming through the presets just gets me their quicker!
And of coarse its all personal tasteHave Fun
