  • Holy Island HDR

This is Lindisfarne Castle taken from the beach with the tide out, there was quite a few photog's there at this time when I took this pic, they were all at the same spot with their tripod's taking the same pic
Im sure they all got wonderful shots together! hahahaha

I can never make up my mind, if I like HDR or not!

But the treatment seems to suit this image.
    Canon 7D 50D 400D Canon 300mm f4 L IS Canon 70 - 200 f2.8 L IS Sigma 150 - 500 f6.3 OS Sigma 50mm f1.4

It's a very nice shot but I have to admit I'm not too keen on the treatment here.

It seems a bit too harsh, too 'sharp' and rather too much like a drawing, albeit a nice drawing or watercolour. If that's what you wanted then that's fine - you did a good job.

For myself i'd rather see a touch more 'sheen' if you know what I mean.

I like this a lot. It's got a fairytale look about it.
I might be tempted to take a bit off the left side up to the end of that low wall leaving the upright pillar section at the edge of the shot.
