Here is another of my waterfalls. This one is called LookingGlass Falls, located in Brevard NC, about 30 MI. form my home. I took this around the middle of October this fall.
Its one of the most photographed falls in NC, and has claimed the most lives. The flatland turistors used to try to cross over the top on the slippery rocks, and lots of them fell - few survived. Untill the park service installed a chainlink fence to prevent them.

I like it. Next time take a string with a slower shudder to get that nice blur affect!

it's a nice shot of the fall and it's nice to see water looking like water again and not that auld creamy milky stuff served up by all those slow shutter speeds.
Nice rich colours all round as well.

Out of interest, how high are the falls? - there isn't much to hint at scale.

Around 50 - 60 feet Ian, but the killer is the rocks just below the surface. There is about 12" of water, over huge sharp granite boulders at the base of the fall. We were hiking near here a few years ago when the last victim was found, very dead unfortunately. There are several people every year fall over our waterfalls. We have rock, which we call slickrock, many of the falls have these rocks at the tops. They are slicker than ice when you step on them, unfortunately the result - is a falling over the waterfall. .
