Re: Should I crop more off this?

Hi Kurt was it a one shot attempt? Did you not have any time to frame better? Whatever way you crop it its not really doing anything for me sorry to be harsh! I too love the reflections but there is no foreground interest, the people are all bunched up on the left...

Re: Should I crop more off this?

Considering you have already cropped some off, I would go the whole hog and crop the top to just above the ship in a bottle on the far left. Making it look like a panoramic style crop or whatever it may be called. At the same time I would straighten it just a tad by lifting the left side up a fraction. It may only be optical illusion though, suggesting it may not be quite straight because of the pavement lead in.

Re: Should I crop more off this?

Hello everyone. Thank you all for your most interesting comments. I have been away for a few days so this is my first chance to reply to the latest comments. I must say that I like Russ II's crop, and find his comments useful. It was just a single grab shot. It was raining quite heavily at the time and I didn't want to expose my camera to too much damp, I was mostly attracted my the reflections and the colour.

It is really good to get so many interesting viewpoints and useful replies.

Thanks again to all of you who have taken time to note their thoughts.

              .

              Hey Kurt,

I'm glad you found my crop and comments useful.

Now I gotta do something for me.
I have had this ITCH that I haven't been able to scratch for 4-5 days here.
I couldn't figure out WHY my picture was posting so small.
For, like I said 4-5 days, no matter WHAT I was doing in the front of my mind- watching TV, driving, eating, sleeping- in the back of my mind I kept grinding on WHAT I was doing that was making my picture post up so small.

Well, tonight I was taking a shower and EUREKA it came to me.
              Just something stupid (of course).

Anyway, here is what I've had here but couldn't get posted there.
              Finally.

              Now I can sleep.

              Russ

P.S. Besides the crop, I did a teeny adjustment that made the water reflections in the foreground look a little better to my eye. Can you even tell? It wasn't much.

              .
