This is quite a good advert for the humble kit lens - shot wide open at 55mm, there is plenty of detail and good limited depth of field blurring.

I would be tempted to paint out the small white spots around the eye, butg apart from that - really good.

I do like this Joc, but my eye is drawn to the nose, maybe because its darker, try a crop and play around a little, you might be able to come up with something. Also try tweeking maybe b&w.

I didn't want to play around with cloning out the little liquid spots on the eyes lest I mucked up the detail in the eyes, as this is the main focus & reason for the submission! However, I agree it does spoil the effect a little! Thanks for your comments! I will have a bash at fixing it somehow!

Here goes! I edited out the liquid spots around eyes but left pic in colour!
