Super shot, and very apt title!

The red door leaps out at you!

Lovely shot, one I would like to have in my collection. Just a slight crop off the bottom to remove that foot print is all I would suggest.

          Re: stone cold

An appealing winter scene and yes the door does add a lot to the scene. However I question whether its anything more than an over the wall snapshot

The darker band in the foreground, with the 'footprint' is probably the top of the wall, and TBH I'd just clone out the impression rather than starting to crop.

From a compositional point of view it seems somewhat out of balance and for me a more favourable viewpoint should have been sought, perhaps placing the tree more to the left and making more use of the seat in the frame.

From a technical POV, whatya been doing with the snow Jon and the burn brush You seem to have made the snow too grey and blotchy in places not to mention those halos round some of the gravestones.

Hope that makes some sense to you, did you take any others whilst you were there?

There was a short pause when I had a look just now. Jon's picture in this thread is from his Smugmug gallery, not the his DPNow now

i'm sorry you're having difficulty viewing my posts Guy.
i should get onboard with the gallery at DPnow.

Steven - i dropped the exposure way down on this thinking i'd blow it otherwise. i thought it looked presentable in PS...i'll take another look. yes, i shot this over a wall.

thanks everyone for your kind remarks.
