  • Opposites Attract

    Putting my head on the block here
    Been searching through lightroom at old piccy's and this one was a fav.
    Shot with my first digital camera the kodak dc3800, taken by me, se my arm stretched out
    Ive posted it in critique as if Ide just taken it and wanted critique as a beginner!
    Be ruthless if you like, its all good fun!
    Dont tell the missuz I posted a pic of her on the internet otherwise theyl be no strawberries and cream for a month

    I think this is a great picture - the two expressions are so different. It's very comical. I also like the use of mono and technically the photo is hard to fault. It's a lot of fun!

      I see thousands of images each year, when I'm out judging, so when something different, like this comes up, it is refreshing.

      I often give a higher mark to a picture that makes me smile, as this has, and it's an excellent capture of "that" moment. Plus having been taken on the same camera that I first had gives it a nostalgic appeal.

      Interestingly this has an IQ that some would try to reproduce with art filters and editing, that is reminiscent of some high contrast films.
