  • The Kalahari

The Kalahari Desert is one of the most beautiful places on earth – for me. The saying is that if its red sand has found its way into your socks, then you will always have the longing to return.
This was taken this morning as we were leaving the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in the Northern Cape. More than 1000 kms, and 11 hours nonstop drive, I'm paste. We had the most fantastic 15 days in the bush – Kruger, Augrabies and the Kalahari. Shot 1000’s of pictures, seen wonderful sites, will be working for a long time to get through all these pictures.
This is just to say Hi, I am back again.

Aah! Wow! Oh for those blue skies of Africa! I am so envious of your trip to the Kalahari & Kruger Park! In all my years in South Africa, I'm sorry to say that I never went to the Kruger or Botswana! I drove through the Kalahari once or twice enroute to the Cape from Jo'burg, without a camera in those days! Super shot! I'd love to see more pics from your trip!
