Abstract

Took Thomas to Tropical World Leeds yesterday and this is one from the day.
Shot with a 50mm lens, I regret not taking my macro lens, and if you were really going to be serious and upset the other visitors and probably get shouted at by the staff, a tripod to get more dof!
But then this is the difference between a fun day out with your son, and a serious focussed shoot with time and equipment Im affraid when you have kids you have to find a happy medium. Yesterday I prefered the fun day out with my son, who i might add got some crackers with his little fuji compact

A very simple but extremely striking image Ash. The framing sets if off beautifully.

Very good composition and choice of subject.

For me, I would want the leading diagonal to go corner to corner, to bring ordered structure to an organic form.

Particularly enjoying the tonal range of the monotone image
