Onions

I don't see many catering/food type images on here if any so I decided to share this one with you.
I like making my pickled onions for christmas and while doing so last weekend decided to make it a joint activity and took a few shots.
Nikon d90 with 50mm.

Yummy yum Ash, never tried home made pickled onions but I do love them with a Boxing day cold meat buffet, are they strong or sweet?

I think the overall image is a tad cluttered and less than appetising. I'm not keen on the cluttered background. Nor do I care for the OOF knife in the foreground. The onions aren't really as clearly defined as they might be and that blue wotsit in the background is distracting.

Sorry Ash - smack me later if you wish but I know you can produce summick much more 'recipe book worthy' than this one.

It is a very cluttered image.
The blue is very distracting !

No sweat guy's, I included things in the background as I did not wan't just onions in the frame, more to give a kitchen feel to the image.
It was just a bit of fun and to be honest I could'nt be bothered to set the tripod up to get more dof using natural light from the window needed to get me onions done!
Give it a bash, its not as easy as it looks
