Hi All,
After entering a challenge on another site, to produce a photograph that resembled an impressionist painting, I decided to try and make such a picture without using any outside plug-in or HDR, just the tools available in Photoshop. It's not easy!
The first one, of poppies in a cornfield, is one of about forty I took after waiting for special lighting conditions. Early morning, backlit. Not exactly Monet I know.
The second one I was trying to get a Turner look. More complicated, but they both look a lot betted printed on matt heavyweight paper than they do on screen.

Comments welcome, and if you have a personal idea of how to get an impressionistic look without using Painter or Akvis I would like to hear it.

Your second shot looks very impressive and if suited the colours of my decor would'nt hesitate in hanging it on my wall.
