  • Why do I like this picture so much?

    Hi all,

Would appreciate some feedback on this one. There is no doubt that it is underexposed but I decided to have a play in lightroom.

Using some selective adjustments and an sepia effect this is what I ended up with. The picture was taken at night so is meant to be dark and for some reason I am drawn to it. I like the "Softness" of the tones against the brightness of the moon. Anyway thoughts appreciated.

    best regards

    Josh

We all take pictures of scenes and subjects that we are drawn to and capture for us the memories of the moment or remind us of something we like.

Only you can tell us the "story" behind why you like this picture so much...

    Do tell

      Hi Josh,
I like the picture and what I like is how it asks my imagination to participate in filling in some content that would match the mood and lighting.

Josh, does it matter that you like it so much ? is it not sufficient that you do ?

I can understand well why you like it. It's got a nice mood to it but a little more light on the land would be nice. It's a bit of a change from the usual, beautiful but tiresome landscapes and that can only be welcome.

Thanks for the thoughts all. Maybe it is the fact that it is different from anything else I have taken that draws me to it. Thanks for giving me that train of thought
