  • City Reflections

    Dear All,

I spent a very enjoyable two weeks in Tuscany at the start of July. As part of the holiday we spent the day in Florence. I dragged my entire family out of bed at 5.30am and we caught the train from Certaldo to this fantastic city.

I have hardly begun to work though my pictures from the visit but wanted to post this one here. I was drawn to the scene by the bright colours and the reflections in the River Arno.

    Comments welcomed.

    Best Regards

    Josh

Very nice Josh; reminds me somewhat of Venice.

      Hi

Glad you like it. There are a few more here. Only just had the chance to look at them properly.

I'm not much into critique but I do browse in here a lot and this one was bugging me a bit.
The portion of building on the left didn't look right and neither did its reflection. I copied it to my puter and cropped that section off. My own opinion was that it improved the shot no end....maybe you could try it and see what you think.

I see what you mean Pops. I agree with you. It will leave 3 full buildings.

            Re: City Reflections

I like the tight framing and reflections, the section of building on the left does'nt really bother me although if you were framing the shot, removing the left building with the same amount off the right would make a nicer portrait format.
