Hi,
This is a the second image posted of the flowers on a cacti belonging to my good Lady Wife. I hope this is an improvement on the first, your feedback, comments and critiques are welcome.

I have looked at it some more, is the flower still available, perhaps a re-shoot using the same approach but less of the out of focus stuff around the flower head , this rough edit for example. I may have gone to fare but you get the idea.
You have a superb focus on the flower but Like Patrick said, there is to much clutter around it.
Patrick solved the background clutter prob but......I would have preferred a section of the stem to be visible. It looks a bit like it was added to the image and not a part of it.

I overlooked this picture earlier in the day - didn't realise what I had missed and Patrick has done exactly what I would have done - ver nice indeed.
If you can follow Patrick's example and make the kind of edits he has suggested, this has the makings of a POTD - and that would be your second, Tinka!

Hi all,
Many thanks for your critiques, comments/suggestions, all points have been taken on board and noted, will have to have a go, Practice is the only way to learn. OH, by the way, there are nos stems as the flowers occur at the very tip of the leaves, so I will have to work round that one, also the flowers are comeing out and going over fairly fast so will have to watch for the next one and work quickly.
