Re: On a bench by the bridge
89 and no views! that's not too bad a percentage
I like the shot and I like the way the bench is being taken over by the bush. Lizzie has a very nice, unpretentious pose and her coat has a suitable and compatible colour. Personally, I find the wall on her left a bit too distracting. and I feel this little shot would survive really well if a crop was made from this side.

Agree. Just put my hand over the wall and I like the photograph more. It just doesn't need the wall.Originally posted by Tom View Post89 and no views! that's not too bad a percentage

Love the colours and the expression.

I have to admit I quite like the wall there too.Originally posted by Ian View PostThanks guys, I actually like the wall there, but of course this is just a personal preference

I suppose it depends on whether you want a picci of Elizabeth on a bench or a picci of her on a bench next to the wall or just a picci of Elizabeth disregarding where she is, disregarding the environment and setting ... (if you follow my drift).
As for cropping ... I tend not to be too much of a cropper and chopper myself but the way I see it you'd have various choices. You could leave the picture as shown, crop off the wall or crop of the left side of the picture thus placing her more 'into' the corner of the wall.
Choices, choices, choices, eh!
Naah - it's a nice picci just as it is. If it were mine I'd print it and place it in the family album.
