Hi Tom I like it I suppose. A little more info would be nice.
Is it you? Is it a scan of an old pic, is it a new pic made to look like an old pic?
Come on your crafty old dawg you, let us in on the secret

      Re: Havana Man

I think this is an interesting piece of art rather than a straightforward photograph, so we enter the mysterious world of ar appreciation. I can see some people really loving thus (I find it interesting, myself) while others will probably be dismissive.

I'm afraid I'm not a Havana Man Ash
Piece of Art Ian? Don't go there Ian, you know where it can all end up. I'm delighted you like it.
Basically it is a simple photograph of a man I saw on a street in Havana, with a little processing in Lightroom.
No thoughts on the presentation or why you may or may not like it?

A different sort of effect Tom. I am more the straightforward photographer generally (liked your Chinese boys).

As Ian says some will and some wont like it, it is not the sort of photography I would choose. Then, I am not really a mono person, I just love colour.

There is one thing that I noticed and that is the wall. Have a look at my Cuban man, could it be the same wall?

I dont think Im too keen because its such a tight crop of the head, I actually like pictures of old people up close but they are mainly one's where they are looking straight at the camera.
            cheers

              Hello Audrey
If I remember properly I took the photograph in some Plaza iwhere a lot of dressing up for the tourists takes place.. Can't be sure about the wall but I am sure that your image is most enjoyable. You got a great shot of a great looking character and having his taped up radio or whatever in the picture is a great extra. What a fantastic beard.
