    Photo taken at Karamea, South Island New Zealand. A quiet river in the bush. The water is a clear rich brown - stained by bush vegetation. The colour can just be seen through the reflection.

    On the Yorkshire Moors you can find many streams and rivers that course with tea-coloured water. It was most strange when I first saw it. It's caused naturally by the peat bogs that feed the rivers.
