    I was rather disappointed with the JPEG out of the camera from the Sony DSC-HX5V that I'm currently testing, but after some tweaking in Photoshop I managed to get I think a much more attractive result.

    Comments/questions welcome!

    Certainly a much brighter version Ian. I think I might have used the white picker tool in Levels/curves for a quick solution.

      Thanks Stephen, I did try that, but it gave a rather harsh result.

      I actually used a mild Photoshop merge to HDR after producing one darkened and one lightened version of the image in Lightroom. I think it would have been better with a RAW file, but the HX5V is JPEG-only.
