    Re: New Camera

A bit confused here Pushoz. Is it a new Computer or camera you are asking for advice on

Did your friend suggest any particular model of Lumix. I know people with the TZ3 & 5 models and they are very pleased with them, though personally I thought the screen was not good in bright conditions.

I think the TZ-3, which is available discounted heavily since the TZ-5 came out, is a real bargain at the right price. I bought my mother in law one and she loves it.

        Re: New Camera

Thanks guys for the responses. Stephen apologises for the confusion but I think my brain had gone when I finally got five minutes to post. Will have a look if I can get any good deals on the TZ-3.

Thanks for the idea about the Canon the only thing that's putting me off is we've got a canon now and hardly used it prior to it breaking. I hold my hands up it did get knocked off a church pew but it was in a good case and now it's dead.

              Hi

Hardly fair to blame the camera for not working after dropping it, church floors are notoriously hard, case or no case.

Fair point Patrick. I think I've been lucky in the past with cameras as I've never had any problems with them even. Additionally the friends who have recommended the Panasonic also had the same camera and had it repaired twice before giving up on it as a bad job. I think my view of this specific model is tainted and I shouldn't discount all Canon cameras.

                  Hi

I have 3 Canon cameras an old 10D I have just had it converted to IR, A 40D bought last year, and a G10 bought last week. the old 10d has never given a moments trouble, nor has the 40D, and indeed nor has the G10 but that is only a week old
